Born and brought up in Bandra, Mumbai, from the very onset of my early years, I would play dress up, doodle fancy outfits, paint colorful pictures and spend numerous hours in front of the mirror with mommy’s makeup. At school, although a bright student academically I was always driven more towards art and creative subjects.With the creative juices flowing in me it was very evident that I would end up pursuing a career in fashion. Post high school I took up a fashion design course at The SNDT Institute Juhu to technically train myself in fashion.Thereafter worked under ace designers Manish Malhotra and Rocky S where I designed for their fashion week collections and also styled for various Bollywood movies for A-list celebrities
Few years later when I felt more equipped and confident about my skills, I started my own couture label and catered to numerous personal clients
Then life took a new turn. It so happened that from behind the scenes came in front of the camera. People always told me that you look like a model yourself, why don’t you give it a shot ? So I did. I have always been an experimental and high spirited person by nature and have always wanted to try new things in life.
Currently pursuing a career as a freelance model and actor. But being very selective and choosy about taking up the right assignments left me with free time on hand, and I wanted to fill the vacuum with what better than a fashion start-up which has always been my calling
I never thought of writing, but the blogosphere has indeed opened up many doors for the fashion industry allowing people from all walks of life to partake in the elite fashion world , access to stylish clothes and update themselves with the latest fashion trends. It’s like a new democratic front in the fashion industry. This caught my fancy. It is a very impactful revolution in the fashion world and I would love to be a part of it. I want to share my love of fashion and empower women by discovering their individual fashion sensibilities and make it their own personal style statements
